The Central Line of the Bible, John Hwang

I love Christ and His glorious church. I grew up with a Presbyterian background. When I was studying at graduate school at the University of California at Irvine in 1995, I came in contact with the local church and got to know God's desire for the church.

I found and realized that Christ is the mystery of God, and the church is the mystery of Christ. The church as the Body of Christ cannot be divided into many pieces. The oneness of the Body, the church, is a strong testimony of our God to Satan and the world.

Our God is really pleased to see the oneness of the Body. The Body, the church, should express God to the full extent. Once I knew and realized this, my life began to change. I focused my life on gaining Christ for the church.

The whole universe and human history are under God's sovereign hand to gain a body for Christ: the church as His bride. The Bible begins with a marriage and ends with a universal marriage. The church is God's bride for eternity. From Genesis to Revelation, this is the central line of the Bible.

I am really glad and happy to know this. I believe I know God's desire, plan, and ways. Now I give myself to this divine plan, to please God and to fulfill His plan.
